The deal today, and the deal once the app exists.
1 · What this site is
This is a pre-launch website for TheStudyFix, a study app for medical students, run by its founder, Betra Youhanna, under the name TheStudyFix (thestudyfix.com). TheStudyFix is not yet a registered company. Today it does two things: it explains the idea, and it lets you join a waitlist to get a video demo and hear when the app opens. By using the site or signing up, you agree to these terms. How your email is handled is set out in the privacy page.
2 · No promise that it launches
Joining the waitlist is free and commits you to nothing. It also does not guarantee that the app will launch, when, at what price, or with which features. Anything this site says about the app describes the plan, and plans change. The list of what is not built and not proven is kept current.
3 · Not medical advice
TheStudyFix is a study tool. Nothing on this site or in the demo is medical advice, and none of it should guide the care of a real patient. It is not a substitute for your lectures, your textbooks, official exam resources, your teachers, or clinical judgement. No claim is made that using it improves any exam result.
4 · Using the form fairly
Sign up with your own email address only. Do not sign up other people, submit fake addresses, use scripts or bots, try to get round the bot check or the limit on attempts, or try to break or overload the site. Signups that do any of this may be deleted.
5 · Who owns the site
The writing, design, drawings and code of this site belong to TheStudyFix. You are welcome to read, link to and share it. Please do not copy it wholesale or pass it off as your own. Research papers linked from the site belong to their authors and publishers.
6 · Limits on responsibility
This site and the waitlist are free and provided as they are. They may be wrong, change, or go offline without notice. As far as the law allows, TheStudyFix is not responsible for any loss that comes from using the site, relying on what it says, or the app not launching.
Some rights cannot be signed away. Nothing here limits responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited. Nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.
7 · Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Egypt, where TheStudyFix is run today, and disputes go to the courts of Egypt. If TheStudyFix becomes a registered company, these terms will be updated to name it and its country. If you live in the UK or the EU, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
8 · Changes and contact
These terms may be updated. The date at the top changes when they do. If you are on the waitlist and a change matters to you, you will be emailed about it. Questions: betra@thestudyfix.com.
9 · Later: the app — not in force yet
Nothing in this section applies today. The app will have its own full terms at launch, which you will be asked to accept before using it. What follows states the intended deal so it can be checked now.
9.1 · What you upload stays yours
You keep every right you had in the lecture material you upload. Running it through TheStudyFix grants a processing licence only: permission to generate your material from your file, for you. It is not a transfer, not a training licence, and not a licence to show your content to anyone else.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Most lecture slides belong to a school or a lecturer, and a personal study copy is a different thing from redistribution.
9.2 · What comes out is yours, and you can take it with you
The cards, disease indices and questions generated from your lectures belong to you.
If you cancel, you get a full export, free. All of it, in usable formats, not a degraded version and not behind a fee. This is an obligation, not a courtesy, and it is written here so it can be held to. A tool that keeps your work when you leave has made your work into leverage, and that is not the deal on offer.
9.3 · What is not promised
Output is machine-generated. It is coverage-audited and every item carries its source slide, which is what makes it checkable — but it is not warranted complete or correct, and it is not a substitute for the lecture, the textbook or your own judgement. Where coverage could not be verified, the product says so; that statement is the product working, not the product failing.
9.4 · Payment
Pricing, payment and refund terms will be set here before anything is sold.
9.5 · Ending it
You can stop at any time, and 9.2 applies when you do. If your access is ever ended from this side, 9.2 still applies — the export is not conditional on how the relationship ends.
